Good photo is looking at you. Is the scene watching the photographer or the photographer watched the scene?
Good photos are points of corroded reality, left as poisoned traces made by a talented photographer. Good photos are not shocking. Good photos are simply annoying because you have to keep returning to them. You are not allowed to forget them. You simply have to have them. And sometimes they are unreasonably expensive. Just like the beautiful men and beautiful women. What is beautiful is not always good for the viewer, same as superb photography. They make you cry sometimes because they look too good, and sometimes because you know you can only watch them, and nothing else.
You paid for them. You do own them. But in the end, just to watch them.
